Greenfield Ambulance has a new generator, thanks to a partnership between Greenfield, Corinth, and Saratoga County. Greenfield Town Supervisor Kevin Veitch spearheaded this effort to help purchase the generator this fall.
“Power outages can delay response because of garage door operation which is unacceptable,” said Supervisor Veitch. “We are appreciative that the County has helped us with funding to help address this urgent requirement.”
The station now has installed a 26,000-watt generator. Soon, the growing emergency station at 14 South Greenfield Road will add another garage bay to its 1,500-square foot Greenfield Ambulance station. Overall, the ambulance service now employs 15 full-time and 15 part-time employees including paramedics and EMTs. The service overall covers 192-square miles and protects 12,000 residents in Corinth, Greenfield and Day. The partnership between Greenfield and Corinth began in 2022.
